Jollof Republik

Terms of Service

The rules that apply when you order from us. Last updated 18 September 2026.

01Who we are

These terms govern your use of this website and any order you place through it. "We", "us" and "our" mean Jollof Republik Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales, trading from Unit 3 Bryant Road, Bedworth, Nuneaton, CV7 9EN. Our food is produced for us by Open Group Food Manufacturing Limited (OGFM).

You can reach us at office@ogfm.co.uk or +44 (0)20 7946 0389. By placing an order you accept these terms, so please read them first.

02Placing an order

Adding items to your basket is not an order. Your order is placed when you complete payment, and we accept it when we send your confirmation email. Until that email arrives, no contract exists between us.

We may decline an order (and will refund you in full if we do) where an item is unavailable, where we cannot deliver to your address, or where the listed price was obviously wrong.

We prepare fresh food to order. Once your order is accepted we may already have started cooking, which is why the cancellation rights below are limited.

03Prices and currency

All prices on this site are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include VAT where it applies. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay. There are no handling fees or order minimums.

If you are ordering from outside the UK, Stripe may present the total in your local currency and convert it at the rate shown to you before you confirm payment. That converted figure includes Stripe's conversion fee. You can choose to pay in GBP instead, in which case your own bank's exchange rate and fees apply. Either way, we are paid in GBP.

We may change prices at any time, but never after you have paid.

04Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered directly into Stripe's payment form and are never received, stored or handled by us or by this website.

We accept debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and other methods Stripe offers you at checkout, which vary by country and device.

If your payment is declined your order is not placed. Any amount shown as pending on your statement after a declined payment is released by your bank, typically within a few working days.

05Delivery

Your order is packed at our kitchen nearest to you and delivered the same day. We can only take an order when one of our kitchens is within 15 miles of your postcode, measured in a straight line. You will see which kitchen your order comes from before you pay.

You can order at any time. An order placed while its kitchen is closed is sent out when the kitchen next opens, and the delivery time shown before you pay says so.

The delivery charge depends on how far your address is from that kitchen and is shown before you pay. Free delivery on orders of £30 or more, measured after any discount code.

Estimated delivery times are shown before you pay. They are estimates, not guarantees: traffic, weather and busy periods all affect them.

Please make sure someone can receive the delivery. We are not responsible for food that spoils because a delivery was left unattended, refused, or sent to an address entered incorrectly at checkout.

06Cancellations and refunds

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the usual 14-day right to cancel does not apply to food that is liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly. Most of what we sell falls into that category, so orders cannot generally be cancelled once we have started preparing them.

You can still cancel before we begin preparation. Email us as soon as possible quoting your order reference, and if we have not started we will refund you in full.

Sealed ambient goods (sauces and spice powders) can be returned unopened within 14 days of delivery for a full refund, provided they are still sealed and undamaged.

If anything arrives damaged, spoiled, incomplete or not as described, tell us within 48 hours of delivery with a photograph where possible, and we will replace it or refund you. This is in addition to your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, which we do not limit.

Refunds go back to the payment method you used. Where you paid in a converted currency, Stripe refunds you in that same currency at the original exchange rate, so you get back exactly what you paid.

07Allergens and food safety

Our food is prepared in a kitchen that handles peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, soya, gluten, fish, crustaceans, molluscs, mustard, celery, sesame and sulphites. We cannot guarantee any item is free from traces of these.

If you have a food allergy or intolerance, contact us before ordering so we can tell you whether we can safely serve you. Do not rely on the menu descriptions alone.

Follow the storage and cooking instructions supplied with your order. Food safety after delivery is your responsibility.

08Promotional codes

Promotional codes are applied at checkout, cannot be combined with each other, and have no cash value. One code per order.

Some codes, including our newsletter welcome code, can be used once per email address. If one has already been used with the email you order with, it is taken off before you pay.

We may withdraw or change a code at any time, and may refuse or reverse a discount where a code has been used in a way it was not intended for.

09Your information

We use the details you give us at checkout to prepare, deliver and support your order, and to send you your order confirmation. Payment information is handled by Stripe under their own terms.

If you choose "Use my current location" to find your postcode, your device's location is used once to look the postcode up (through postcodes.io in the UK or the US Census Bureau in the US) and is not stored. You can always type your postcode instead.

We only send marketing email to people who have signed up for it, and every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link that works. Signing up for the newsletter is separate from placing an order. Ordering does not add you to the mailing list.

10Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited, including your rights over food that is unsafe or not as described.

Subject to that, our liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, courier failure or utility outages.

11General

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it, and the date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.

If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes fall to the courts of England and Wales.
